No Life of Their Own

Story, first published: Galaxy Science Fiction, Aug. 1959

Cobbly-like creatures from another dimension, who can take on the appearance of whomever they adopt, are the good or bad fairies of legend responsible for human successes or failures. To add to its charm, this story is told from a child's point of view. Alien children play with human children without a hint of racial prejudice.
